CampbellReith has opportunities at Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer and Project Geotechnical Engineer level to join our busy London team and assist in delivering and managing our wide portfolio of projects and further developing our skills and client base.

You will be joining an independent award winning (winner of Ground Engineering Geotechnical Consulting Firm of the Year 2023) multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a reputation for innovative and sustainable design. We are an AGS member firm and our diverse team contains a mix of highly qualified, experienced chartered engineers and geologists.

We currently work in a wide range of sectors including infrastructure, specialist geotechnical design, education, health, commercial, residential, leisure, regeneration and masterplanning.

Opportunity

Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced chartered geotechnical engineer, keen to develop their career to Associate level.

Project Geotechnical Engineer

CampbellReith is also looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic geotechnical engineer at project engineer level who is keen to display and develop their expertise in geotechnical design and evaluation. The ideal candidate will be working towards chartered status.

Role

You will be joining a team of friendly and experienced geotechnical engineers. At project engineer level and above, we ask our colleagues to manage their work independently whilst providing the necessary tools, support and mentoring.

You must be able to take the geotechnical lead on projects, demonstrate experience in the design and management of ground investigations, the preparation of thorough and considered interpretive geotechnical assessments, geotechnical design and modelling, and the provision of geotechnical advice to clients and colleagues.

Proven experience of the design of civil engineering, geotechnical structures, the use of associated software and thorough knowledge of geotechnical design standards are essential.

Key Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in civil engineering, geology and/or engineering geology with a focus on geotechnical engineering modules.
  • Experience within an engineering consultancy with people and project management skills commensurate with the role.
  • Strong interpretive report writing and geotechnical analysis skills.
  • Experience in the use of geotechnical software such as Plaxis, Wallap, Oasys suite (PDisp, XDisp, Alp) etc.
  • A UK driving licence.
