Five years on from starting work on this amazing project, we’re looking forward to the next phase of works with Persimmon Homes and Dunton Environmental. This will see the start of the earthworks, which will eventually enable the development of housing and public open space over a former landfilled brickpit – 25m deep in places.
The job for us began with a lot of detailed assessment work, predominantly related to ground gas and geotechnical design, but which also covered groundwater assessment and design work to opening out a culvert that runs through the site. This was followed by the obligatory additional site investigation and more detailed assessment work, after which, planning permission was finally granted last year.
