We asked Matthew, a Graduate Civil Engineer who studied at the University of Leeds about his views on working for a practice like CampbellReith, and his most challenging project to date:
“Working with CampbellReith has already helped me develop my technical skills, particularly in terms of drainage design. I am sure that this will only continue during my time here.
My most challenging project was producing the preliminary surface and foul water drainage design for a project called ‘Ledsham Garden village’. Not only was this my largest site to date, there were also a number of developmental constraints that had to be considered during my design (such as oil and water pipelines crossing the site and environmental constraints limiting the area available for above ground surface water attenuation). Working with the senior members of the team, we produced the right strategy for our client.
I chose to join CampbellReith as I felt it would be a great opportunity for me to work as part of a larger team and continue to develop my flood risk and drainage skills. In August 2019 they provided me with an opportunity that I couldn’t refuse and I haven’t looked back since!”
One of our Partners said “We’ve always welcomed and encouraged our new graduates. Without exception, they have always been bright, enthusiastic and often bring a fresh perspective to problem-solving. They are the future life-blood of the company so we take care to nurture, train and encourage them.”
