My career journey began at a Manchester based engineering consultancy in 2022, having achieved a first-class honours master’s degree in Civil and Structural Engineering at the University of Leeds. I spent my first two years as a graduate in the infrastructure team, working on local and international projects in the residential, public realm and education sectors. Looking for a new challenge to increase my responsibility and involvement with project work, I joined CampbellReith in 2024.
My interest in civil engineering stems from being able to solve problems in the built environment. I was able to appreciate the impact of good infrastructure and the unfortunate outcome of poorly maintained systems through my dissertation at University which explored the association between socioeconomic deprivation and the likelihood and risk of flooding in an area. This leads me to gain satisfaction from knowing that our design solutions will be a net positive for the community around it.
Outside of engineering
Outside of work I enjoy planning my next trip, yoga, and actively avoiding any sports that require good hand-eye coordination. Do invite me to badminton if you enjoy winning!
