I started out in highways design shortly after graduating with MEng Civil Engineering with Business Management from University of Birmingham. Since then, I have been involved in design of local council highway authority road schemes, science and industrial parks and public realm, as well as a bit of urban planning.
As much as seeing a completed scheme can bring the sense of achievement, I have always enjoyed the design process itself. There is always a problem to be solved or something new to be learned, but mainly – no two projects are identical.
After twelve years in highways, I embarked on a new adventure, joining the Civil Engineering team at CampbellReith in September 2024. While some aspects are familiar from previous experience, there is a lot to be learned and achieved in this new role.
Outside of engineering
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and walking the lovely outdoors.
