Shortly after being recognised at the NCE100 awards, CampbellReith’s joint entry with Bouygues for the work undertaken on UCLH Proton Therapy Centre has been awarded the UK Project with a Geotechnical Value over £15m award at the Ground Engineering ceremony, held on 6th June at Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, London.
This award recognises exceptional measures taken resulting in the project being delivered above the expected standard. A key decider for this award was the contribution of CampbellReith and Bouygues UK to the overall delivery of the project.
UCLH Proton Therapy Centre, designed by architects Scott Tallon Walker Architects for University College Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, is a specialist facility designed to deliver advanced cancer treatment in central London. The project comprises a 28.5m deep basement closely surrounded by neighbouring buildings, London Underground tunnels and numerous sensitive assets such as fragile Victorian brick sewers posing a number of challenges for the Geotechnical team to overcome.

Highly Commended for NCE100 ‘Innovation in Project Initiation’
CampbellReith has recently been Highly Commended for the Innovation in Project Initiation Award at the NCE100 Companies of the Year 2018 Awards. The ceremony was held on 23rd May at the Troxy Hotel in London.
The Innovation in Project Initiation award looks at firms doing all they can to get projects off the ground, by working with others to refine the project concept, help secure financing and win public support whilst gaining planning approval. CampbellReith has been working hard on the Kilnwood Vale site in Crawley for Crest Strategic Projects identifying and overcoming key challenges from project inception.
CampbellReith is also ranked in the New Civil Engineer Companies of the Year ranking 2018.
