“Known as the amateur mathematician - engineering was the only real option for me.”
With 35 years’ experience in construction, my career has developed from a junior engineer on site and a grounding in bridge design, to an expert in building structures and civil engineering.
Since joining CampbellReith all those years ago, I have played an integral role in the structural, civil and environmental aspects of numerous projects, including one of our most significant schemes at Royal Arsenal, Woolwich – a £20m infrastructure works project.
My varied background enables me to look at a project in the round rather than just focusing on the civil engineering aspect in order to bring value to the scheme. The majority of my work is with the public sector, developers and investors, providing strategies for the infrastructure of large-scale developments including residential, commercial, industrial and educational.
In my role as Associate, I lead a team of civil engineers and technicians at the London office. I am known to be an amateur mathematician, so engineering was the only real option for me! It is an ideal occupation to use my passion every day, with the satisfaction of seeing those skills become tangible.
