I am a chartered civil engineer with over 20 years’ experience, ranging from an engineering consultancy background to acting as the client’s representative for local government in both the UK and Mauritius.

My project experience is diverse from water treatment works to multi-storey buildings for commercial and industrial developments. As a skilled civil engineer, many of my projects involve strategies for housing and sewage treatment plants as well as new clean water and foul sewer networks, flood alleviation projects and master planning.

In my role at CampbellReith, I support the project partners by actively leading on our schemes from feasibility through planning and construction, interchanging as the technical specialist or the project manager and the client interface.

I am passionate about Civil Engineering sustainable drainage and development that enhances the environment around us. I am part of the Project Steering Group with CIRIA’s Susdrain panel and always keen to learn about new techniques and innovation to improve on what we do as engineers. One of my proud moments was the urban flood alleviation scheme I designed and led the implementation of in Egham, Surrey for which the residents at the time wrote a letter thanking me for the efforts which prevented their property and streets from flooding and helped reduce their anxiety and stress level. For me that is what Civil Engineering is all about, finding simple solutions to enhance our infrastructure and support communities.

As one of CampbellReith’s supervising civil engineers, I am fortunate to work with the industry’s talented young people, mentoring graduates to achieve chartered status.

Outside of engineering:

Outside work, I enjoy the weekend walks with the family and watching my favourite football team, Liverpool, play.
