“As STEM ambassador, I take great pride in helping the less experienced team members around me to develop their skills.”
From a young age I have had a fascination with the way that things are put together, as well as understanding the natural processes which define how we live and how the world works.
Upon graduating from the University of Exeter, I joined a local consultancy where I was responsible for a team comprised of several more junior members of staff. This allowed me to develop a variety of core skills that I rely on in my current career.
In 2018, I joined CampbellReith, and quickly became part of the team. Primarily, my role involves the production of Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies. My key interest lies in the application of Sustainable Draginage (SuDS), working with the natural environment to alleviate flood risk whilst improving the quality of life and biodiversity of schemes. I enjoy strategic master planning and have been fortunate enough to work on such projects at CampbellReith.
I am a strong believer in the philosophy that the best way to understand a concept properly is to teach it to somebody else. I take great pride in helping the less experienced team members around me to develop their skills, a task I find extremely fulfilling and one that I continue in my role as a STEM ambassador.
