The CampbellReith Bristol team have delivered a new-build, drive-through retail unit for our client Columbia Threadneedle Investments with our long-term collaborators Cogent BC just in time for Christmas 2023.
CampbellReith were engaged to deliver the structural engineering of the steel braced frame on raft slab foundation; the drainage including foul pumping station and shallow surface water which were the required due to shallow sewers on site; and the hard-landscaping and levels designs. We also provided support to discharge planning conditions including a remediation strategy, in the event that excavations uncovered any contamination ground related to the site’s historical use as a bus depot and provided the verification report upon completion.
The close collaboration of the design team with the contractor has overcome a complex site and delivered to a tight programme.
