From a young age, I always questioned how things work and it became apparent early on that a career in engineering would be a satisfying career for someone who likes both problem solving and seeing designs come to life.
I’ve had the opportunity to work for businesses including Wardell Armstrong and Rigby and Partners with experience spanning across the Housing, Waste, Food Manufacture/Processing, and Leisure/Tourism sectors, working on projects including the first full survey of the internals of the Haweswater Aquaduct for the first time since its construction over 50 years ago, right through to working on drainage and infrastructure schemes for large industrial/leisure developments such as for Greggs bakery and the surfing lagoon at Adventure Parc Snowdonia.
In 2021 I joined CampbellReith to work within their civil engineering team. It was the passion and culture within the business that made me really want to work here.
Outside of engineering
Outside of work you can mostly find me avoiding city life. I’ll either be knocking a wall down in my own house as part of an ongoing restoration project started back in 2016 or up north in the middle of nowhere, with a tent, my wife and our two boys.
