After graduating with a BSc in Biology from Newcastle University in 2019, I completed an MSc in Environmental Consultancy as I was keen to pursue a career in environmental science that would support a career with a mixture of outdoors and office work. Since graduating I gained a year of experience working for a multidisciplinary environmental consultancy where I worked on a range of projects from residential to Ministry of Defence sites. Having spent the majority of the last year primarily working out on site, I was keen to become more involved with reporting and continue learning about risk assessment and the contaminated land sector, whilst still getting out to site; CampbellReith has been the perfect place to do so.
I joined CampbellReith as a Graduate Environmental Scientist in August 2021. I enjoy working within the environmental team where we assess the risks associated with a site’s history and environmental setting and how they tie in with the proposed development. It is interesting and a challenge to identify the risks posed to future users and other receptors and how best to mitigate them.
Outside of engineering
Outside of work I enjoy travel, music festivals and sport particularly, watching the football, or going for a run.
