I have been working as a structural engineer since 2013, beginning my career in the offshore Oil and Gas industry. In 2018 I moved to Simpson Associates in Gloucester as a Project Engineer. Here I gained experience in typical construction projects such as house extensions and new build apartment blocks.
In 2019 with our first child on the way, my wife and I decided to move back to London. Having been recommended CampbellReith by a colleague, I secured a role as a Project Structural Engineer, based in their London office and started work in November 2019.
Here at CampbellReith, I work as part of a team responsible for the structural engineering design of a wide variety of projects. The work here is very varied, ranging from the design exhibition stands to the design of multistorey buildings, such as the 25 storey Minavil House. I love problem solving and delivering workable solutions. This variety in work keeps things interesting, as the problems posed in 3m high structures can be just as challenging as 75m high ones.
Outside of engineering
I have two children, my youngest being born a couple of weeks ago. These two keep me and my wife busy enough for the moment.
